SUMMARY ...like Windows Explorer does. Dolphin already shows this info, so it might be enough to change the text labels for some kind of editable fields, add some logic and an "Apply" button. This bug might actually belong somehere else, e.g. Baloo.
I personally think this is out of scope for Dolphin and even Baloo/KFileMetadata. Why not use a dedicated application like Kid3?
(In reply to Elvis Angelaccio from comment #1) > Why not use a dedicated application like Kid3? I don't know, on Windows I was used to having it built into the file explorer so that's why I feel like it belongs there. I haven't heard of kid3 before, but I will try it.
There's definitely a use case in KFileMetadata, since music player apps that use that framework are good candidates for having a UI to edit tags. See Bug 406472. In fact KFileMetadata does already support write capabilities. As for surfacing this feature Dolphin itself, I'm also not too sure about that.
Since this functionality was added to Elisa, I too think that is enough and I am closing this.
