Created attachment 122390 [details] Text becomes transparent when fast switching SUMMARY If you quickly enter and leave application categories, the text loses its opacity. It doesn't happen when switching between views, only in application view itself. The only way to 'fix' that is to remove menu widget and add it again (or switch alternatives two times). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Applications tab in Kickoff menu 2. Fast enter-leave some applications categories 3. Notice that text becomes more and more transparent every time you do it

Created attachment 122474 [details] Same behavior in a VM Strange... Just tried the same thing, but in a VM with latest neon iso. Same behavior. See new attachment for proof. I used keyboard Left/Right buttons for navigation.
Can somebody confirm? Still have this issue on Plasma 5.19.2 Looks like 'to: 1.0' is missing on https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/blob/master/applets/kickoff/package/contents/ui/ApplicationsView.qml#L162 (at least this fixes the issue for me).

Created attachment 132758 [details] How to reproduce shaded text on kickoff I do confirm this bug is active also on kde Plasma 5 running on Ubuntu 20.04 with latest updates. To reproduce it, I have to 1 Enter kickoff via win key or click 2 Navigate to the applications tab 3 Switch using the keyboards scrolling up and down selecting a category, then right to enter it then immediately left to exit. Every time it gets a bit more shaded until nothing can be seen I attach a video
