SUMMARY When attaching an encrypted removable device, the device manager always prompts for a password even if it's stored. The password is filled in, so all I need to do is click OK, but I'd like at least an option to simply mount the device using the stored password and only re-prompt if it fails. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Attach an encrypted device with the password already remembered. OBSERVED RESULT Receive a prompt for a password, with the password field filled in so I have to click OK to continue. EXPECTED RESULT At least an option to not have to do that (the prompts are hidden since I use high focus stealing prevention). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Framework 5.61 and OpenSUSE Leap 15.1; everything else appears immaterial. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Reminder about this bug, filed about 3 months ago. This is a real annoyance. I've saved the password for the disk in my kwallet for a reason; there's no need for it to prompt me when I attach it.
Reminder about this, it hasn't been addressed or even commented on. There should at least be an option to attempt to mount an encrypted disk with a stored password without a prompt.
