On the left is the copy target and duration info, on the right is the pasted clip with the duration info. Note that the clip looks very different at the halfway point in the project monitor.

I created a small project with a single video clip. When copying and pasting a specific cut out section of that clip and paste it it creates a duplicate that I then speed reverse. When copying and pasting these clips the duration start/end is off so it isn't a true copy and paste of the originc lip vs the new copied clip.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add video the time line.
2. Cut into sections to adjust different portions to different speeds.
3. Copy one of these speed clips and paste it. Reverse it.
4.) Copied and reversed speed adjusted clip is then copied and pasted again.
5.) Repeat and observe that the pasted clip does not match the clip that was copied.

OBSERVED RESULT
Pasted clip does not match copied clip.

EXPECTED RESULT
Pasted clip should be an exact copy of copy target clip effects, duration, crop duration etc.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
AppImage 19.08.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think the clip speed + reverse combination throws it off during the copy/paste process. Not including these combinations yields observed behavior matching expected behavior.

I wasn't able to reproduce but maybe i didn't follow properly the steps. Could you try with the latest version and see if you can reproduce?
