SUMMARY Browser Audio/Media not playing through Bluetooth Headset STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Pair Bluetooth Headset to OS 2. Lower Volume since 1st pairing makes volume VERY LOUD; Listen to volume change sounds as test sound 3. Open preferred web browser (Tried with Firefox and Vivaldi) 4. Go to Video site (e.g. YouTube) 5. Start any video on video site OBSERVED RESULT Audio plays through device speakers instead of Headset EXPECTED RESULT Audio should play through paired Bluetooth headset SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 19.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Tried with many headsets I own; Bluetooth headsets on other Ubuntu Flavors and on Windows 10. Default volume when 1st pairing device is FULL; Would be deafening to new user. If this is the same tool used in KDE Mobile, this MUST be fixed for those who prefer to or can only use Bluetooth headsets.
Can you manually change audio device in the volume popup? We're currently working on making the "when I plug in, switch to new device" more reliable.
Created attachment 122281 [details] KDE Volume Dropdown Paired Headset This is what I see when I my headset is paired. The Audio still goes to the speakers even though the speakers are greyed out.
