SUMMARY Black zones will appear if I use Firefox or Chromium on HP 250 G6 laptop with KDE Plasma shell. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Firefox and type text. You will see black lines. 2. Open Chromium or Chromium-based browser, open Chromium task manager and maximize it. You will see black zone in right down corner. OBSERVED RESULT Strange black areas EXPECTED RESULT Normal rendering without artifacts SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: + (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.61.0 Qt Version: 5.13 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HP 250 G6 Notebook, Intel Celeron N3350 (Apollo Lake), Intel HD 500 GPU. Problem appears with OpenGL 2.1 and 3.0.

Looks like an XWayland related issue. Are you able to reproduce this bug in other desktop environments?

Looks like that's a problem on the client side. I doubt that kwin has anything to do with it.
Does this still happen? Maybe it was an xwayland bug that has been fixed in the meantime
