SUMMARY
Telegram Desktop does not close itself when you click on close button but minimizes to tray, but dock thinks that it is closed and when you click on the icon it launches a new instance.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Latte-dock
2. Install telegram-desktop

OBSERVED RESULT

New instance of telegram is being created.

EXPECTED RESULT

The existing instance of telegram get's opened.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.2.0/5.14.5
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Running on ParrotOS (Debian derivative).

dont you have the same issue with plasma panels and plasma taskmanagers?

Yeah, I do, if I pin telegram in task manager, things are the same.

Telegram Desktop should be smart enough to not launch a new instance if it's supposed to be a single-instance application.

It's true we could consider existing SNIs for what's running though, it's something I've considered adding to libtm in the past.
