Description Enol P. 2019-08-17 20:22:32 UTC
SUMMARY

KDE Connect stores files into RAM when they are sent which causes out of memory conditions. However, the file transfer keeps going despite of sender's PC is locked up until finish. Not tested from PC to Android devices

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Send a file which is larger than your RAM amount
2. See how RAM memory is filled up quickly
3. The transfer continues but the sender's PC is locked up

OBSERVED RESULT

Locked PC when sending files larger than the amount of available RAM.

EXPECTED RESULT

Upload should be managed differently in order to avoid PC locks due to lack of RAM memory available.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.61.0
Qt Version: 5.13.0

Which versions of kdeconnect are you running? This used to be an issue but has been fixed long since
