Description Iván R. 2019-08-17 19:55:53 UTC
SUMMARY
=======
If the maximum volume is set > 100% in the volume applet preferences and later the volume from the slider is lowered, (e.g. 125% to 50%) when it reaches 100%, it goes directly to 83% (excuse me ... it is complicated to explain and my English is very bad)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
==================
1. Go to volume applet settings
2. Set max. vol to 125% (or other value > 100% and < 150%)
3. Apply
4. Go to taskbar and increase the volume to the maximum and lower it gradually observing the step.

OBSERVED RESULT
===============
The volume goes from 100% to 83% (depends of the max. volume setted)

EXPECTED RESULT
===============
For example, to be able to lower the volume from 125% to 95% without having to lower to 83% and then increase to 95%

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
====================
KDE neon User Edition 5.16 (it also happened in previous versions)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / SUGGESTION
===================================
It would be nice to be able to set max.vol. below 100% (some neighbor would be grateful)

Very odd. I cannot reproduce. Can you attach a screen recording that shows the issue?

Yes of course. I attached two videos.

  * *volume_issue_acer-2019-08-20_00.25.10.mkv* on Acer Aspire E5
    (laptop) KDE Neon 5.16.4
  * *volume_issue_dell-2019-08-20_00.16.32.mkv* on Dell G3 3779
    (laptop) KDE Neon 5.16.4

In addition, NOW, the max. volume cannot be set now if its value is >
100% and != 150% (see volume_issue_acer-2019-08-20_00.25.10.mkv)

If I could help you with something else, don't hesitate to ask me or ask
for anything.

Thank you very much and congratulations for your great work.

A hug,

Ivan R.

Thanks for the video. I can see now. I still can't reproduce it though.

Should be fixed with the new layout in Plasma 5.19.
