Which download type are you using? Have you ever successfully downloaded data from this bank before? Will it work if you manually download the file and then import the local file? How long have you waited to see if it's a temporary delay? What does happen when it hits 33%? Does it just sit there or does it time out and provide any error?

First, if you reply by email, and not by posting to bugs.kde.org, please send only text, not html. The html ends up being made an attachment to the bug.

Please let me know if you have successfully downloaded OFX from this bank before. The first message (loading banklist) is shown when mapping the account. Are you failing there? If so, you haven't actually gotten to the point of downloading anything from the bank itself.

However, the second message (unable to create io-slave) is likely an issue related to Windows. I don't actually know if anyone has tested KMM on Windows CE. That's why it's important for us to know if you have done a succesful OFX download before - specifically on Windows CE. Also, please let us know which exact link you used to download KMM. (I don't run Windows at all, so I can't test.) There have been problems in the past with some KDE features not working correctly on Windows, but I thought they had been addressed, so we may have to wait for someone who specifically prepares the Windows installer to comment.

From the OP by personal email: I am running windows 10, when I first stating using the program about 6 months ago I could download from my bank okay, then I started having problems. I downloaded the update last night. I cannot import from Quicken, either.

Leonard, please keep all messages about this posted to the bug, not personal email.

So are you on Win 10, and the Win CE in the bug header was just a mis-click? That certainly avoids some unknowns. However, please be clear about all steps you took.
1) What problems were you having with the prior version? Which prior version?
2) After you upgraded, what did you try and what problems did you have.
3) Did the program remember the online mapping for the account, or did it claim the account was not mapped? In other words, why were you trying to remap the account. (That's the reason it was trying to download the bank list.)
4) When you say you can't import from Quicken, is that an online update, or importing from a local file?
All these details are important, so we understand exactly what is happening. Without that, we can't really be sure what's wrong, or even what to suggest you try next.

Thanks.

I have changed the platform in the bug header from Win CE to MS Windows to avoid further confusion.
Please configure your email software to send only plain text. Also note that when you reply by email, your entire email becomes the next comment on the bug, so you can trim the previous comment you are replying to. (Look at the bug in a browser to see what I'm talking about.()

When upgrading from 4.8 to 5.0 there was a known problem which required you to remap any online account using libofx, but that only needs to be done once.

What exactly do you mean by "the same problem"? Did 4.8 also fail fetching the bank list? It only does that when mapping an account. Did it forget the mapping?

When you say other accounts are already mapped, but get the same error, that doesn't make sense, since the fetching the list of banks only happens when you are mapping an account.

When you say you set up a new database, do you mean you are using the SQL storage and created a whole new KMM database?

When you say you can import from Quicken, please confirm you mean you are importing a local file. Also, have you tried downloading an OFX file from the bank and importing that local file? If that works, we can focus on the mapping problem, and whether there is still a problem with kio (KDE library) on Windows.

I had already mapped several in the previous version. In the previous
version, I got a message of the protocol dieing. I created new base
but opened up previous accounts.

Feel free to reopen if the problem recurs, but if so, please provide more detailed information we can work with.
