SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. make a new A3 template. Rotate into portrait.
2. Use Text tool, type in:
"Not Tea?
3. click save.
OBSERVED RESULT
causes complete application hang.

It seems to be the exact same issue as bug 409617 we get sometimes after editing a text and hitting save. Does krita stops/hangs infinitely or does it closes/crash?

It hangs infinitely, even overnight. no matter the font, not matter the
word.

I tried reproducing the bug doing exactly what you posted, but I cannot make it happen not in master and not in 4.2.5

Is the text important to reproduce the bug? I see no special characters.
Also please have a look at Bug 409617 and see if its not the same thing, as it also creates a hang.
