SUMMARY
Opening an okular archive, okular forget last position page and open the first page. It happens only for okular archive, not when opening pdf files.

debian stretch  4.9.0-9-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.168-1+deb9u4 (2019-07-19) x86_64 GNU/Linux
kde 4.14.26
okular 0.26.1

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a pdf and save as okluar archive
2. open the okular archive
3. go to a page i.e. 56
4. close okular
5. reopen okular with same archive
6. it shows first page instead of 56

Opening from console does not report any error.

Works fine for me.

I suggest you update to something that is not 3 years old
