SUMMARY
The option for shrinkThickMargins is gone? I changed it via config now but I'm wondering where is the mentioned option:
https://github.com/psifidotos/Latte-Dock/wiki/F.A.Q.#q-can-i-tweak-things-like-docks-distance-from-the-screens-border

I have a german translated config dialog but the FAQ is only in english. That's fine because my english is good enough. But I can't find it anyway..

Also in the FAQ is not described what this option does. Maybe it was described in the config dialog.

I like margins around my icons (1st to see the indicator clearly and 2nd to have a border around). First I thought it would be nice to define the panel size and the icon size separately or the panel size for the containment and the icon size for each applet. I still would prefer it for customization (I tried to set it via configi for `...[Applets][x][Configuration][General]` and `...[Applets][x][General]`).

Forget config files in v0.9 you can set three different margins from GUI in order to achieve any visual result you want,

Appearance, Margins, Thickness
Appearance, Margins, Length
Effects, Indicator, Length Padding

Ahhh... ok but a different icon size (margin) for different applets is not possible I guess?

I changed it in ~/.config/latte/<profile>.layout.latte and it worked..

Of course not, applets are totally responsible to provide the best layout for them
