Description José Pekkarinen 2019-08-03 14:24:59 UTC
SUMMARY

Falkon crashes anytime it's finishing a download.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put any download to do, no matter how big.

OBSERVED RESULT

Falkon shows as unresponsive for some seconds and
crashes. Downloads seems to have finished though.

EXPECTED RESULT

No crash after download so that you can do more than
one at a time.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo Linux/ Plasma 5.15.5
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.60
Qt Version: 5.12.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This I observed since I started using Falkon
more than a year ago, so it's not only existing
to me in this version, it was in former versions/
Qt/Framework also.

The output I see on cli exec:

qt.qpa.wayland: Non-toplevel surfaces can't request window states
qt.qpa.wayland: Non-toplevel surfaces can't request window states
qt.qpa.wayland: Non-toplevel surfaces can't request window states
qt.qpa.wayland: Non-toplevel surfaces can't request window states
qt.qpa.wayland: Wayland does not support QWindow::requestActivate()
qt.qpa.wayland: Non-toplevel surfaces can't request window states
qt.qpa.wayland: Non-toplevel surfaces can't request window states
The Wayland connection broke. Did the Wayland compositor die?

Compositor was up all time so may be a red herring.

Thanks!

José.

This is no longer visible for a few releases, so closing.

Thanks!
