Lid closing does not lock screen with context menu on desktop


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Invoke desktop context menu
2. Close laptop's lid
3. Open lid

OBSERVED RESULT

Screen is not locked


EXPECTED RESULT

Screen should be locked with no matter if the context menu is invoked or not if locking is enabled

Sadly this is an unfixable X11 bug. On X11, when a context menu is open, it steals all input and prevents the power management process from working properly. It's a design flaw of the way X11 was created, and is not present on Wayland.
