SUMMARY
The balance audio correction effect does not work. When you activate the effect the audio only goes through right side.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add audio correction -> balance to a clip
2. Try to modulate or add key points in the effect

OBSERVED RESULT
The audio only flows from the right side, no matter the configuration you made

EXPECTED RESULT
The audio flows balanced as you indicated

your bug report is incomplete, there is no information about your Audio settings (Phonon, backend, Plasma version, etc.) Also you seem to use a pretty outdated Ubuntu version, 16.04 is really old now.

FWIW: the framework version you are using is also pretty outdated, current is 5.60.0

Confirmed. Audio Correction -> Balance switch of the left channel only. Moving the slider has no influence. Tested with Master 19.07.90 on Windows and Linux. I opend issue https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/issues/301

Fixed with commit https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/commit/35b7decc22ccbe8f3a5cb29151d64b3c779b17d1 will come in version 19.08.
