SUMMARY
Am setting up a server DL-380 Gen 10 with a attached storage device MSA 2052. The server's storage is solely the attached device. I am just starting with Digikam as of tonight. I cannot reach the Volume which displays in file manager of Fedora. DigiKam is my hope for digitizing many k photos. My database will grow big fast. For this server to work, I need access to my storage device. Don't know if it is a bug. As far as ssds, this storage device throughput beats any single ssd drive. Digikam is a database. I suppose it is a server oriented software. I would highly appreciate if this option could be added to Digikam.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Maik Qualmann 2019-07-31 06:00:55 UTC
1. DigiKam is not a database. DigiKam can fill and use a database of image data.
2. You need to mount a network drive locally. Digikam can not access network paths.
3. DigiKam can access and use an external MySQL server located on the network. Drives with images MUST be mounted locally.
