As I said on the forum, I cannot reproduce this issue. Please check whether this only happen with this particular psd file, or whether it also happens with a newly created image. And please make a crash log and attach it: https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/dr_minw_debugger.html#dr-minw
Created attachment 121889 [details] kritacrash.log I don't know why the latest date for this is July 27th. I've opened several PSD files and the same thing happens. And I even created a new PSD file..added several layers and went to resize it and it crashed like before.
Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
Hm, and this crash is actually inside the Intel display driver. Do you have Angle or OpenGL selected in Krita's settings dialog, display tab?
Setting this to waiting for info till boud's question has been answered.
It's set to "OpenGL". Also, when I have a file open and I click "just" to close that 1 file, not the entire program, the entire program crashes to the desktop.
Try setting it to Angle. The crash happens in the Intel display driver, so that probably will fix it.
Actually, I just noticed that there was a message that said: "Intel Graphics Drivers tend to have issues with OpenGL so ANGLE will be used by default. You may manually switch to OpenGL but it is not guaranteed to work properly." So, it was saying (Default) OpenGL - ANGEL wasn't an option. But, I set it to OpenGL (without the word "Default" included) and it fixed another problem that just showed up today. I opened a completed file and the canvas was completely black, but now the image shows up. I tried the resize again and it still crashes to the desktop. Also, when I have 2 files open in Krita and try to only close 1, Krita crashes to the Desktop again. FYI, I've done a complete computer scan for viruses with Kaspersky Total Security and a Malware scan with Malwarebytes (free) and neither scan found any problems.
Hello, I think my problem is solved. I set my Display Rendering mode to "Software Renderer (Very Slow)" and it seems to no longer be crashing. If it starts crashing again, I'll let you know. Thanks for your help! :-)
"Hello, I think my problem is solved. I set my Display Rendering mode to "Software Renderer (Very Slow)" and it seems to no longer be crashing. If it starts crashing again, I'll let you know. "FYI, I've done a complete computer scan for viruses with Kaspersky Total Security and a Malware scan with Malwarebytes (free) and neither scan found any problems." You really should update to a modern version of Windows that comes with Windows Defender and ditch these know bad virus scanners. See https://robert.ocallahan.org/2017/01/disable-your-antivirus-software-except.html for why. I'm closing this report since it's clear it's a bug in the display driver, not in Krita.
