SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - I've tried to run muon from the terminal with _sudo_ privilege, but no luck. - The closest bug report I could find is: [https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/muon/+bug/1429483](Kubuntu Vivid 1 Beta 15.04: Muon preferences are not saved), though I'm facing the problem in Lubuntu.
Yes, it seems that the setting dialogs does ask for sudo credentials when it should. The "Apply" button shows a padlock icon, which I assume means that authentication is required. But there is no password prompt, like when one wants to configure external sources.
Muon is no longer maintained, please switch no a supported alternative like https://apps.kde.org/discover/ or the package manager native no your system. Sorry for the inconvenience.
