Created attachment 121710 [details] Attached screenshot as proof SUMMARY I use a custom EDID file to set custom refresh rates for my laptop display. The refresh rates show up correctly on the Display & Monitor (kscreen) settings module but setting the preferred value changes only the refresh rate but not the frame rate. I've even tried setting MaxFPS=100 (matching my refresh rate) in kwinrc but it hasn't helped. But doing the same when the the preferred refresh rate is the first value in the EDID file (priority wise), I am able to use kwin at 100hz with 100 FPS but FPS remains at 100 even on switching to 60hz. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Settings > Display & Monitor 2. Change Refresh Rate 3. Check Screen FPS on the Show FPS Desktop Effect OBSERVED RESULT Refresh rate has been set to the correct value as evident from running `xrandr -q`. But screen FPS is unchanged (remains at 60). EXPECTED RESULT Frame rate is supposed to change along with refresh rate.
