Pressing some keys will remove the focus on the password field once 35-40 seconds have passed after a login out of a session or booting the system. System: Neon UE 5.16.3 KDE Framework 5.60.0 QT Version 5.12.3 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Power on the device/logout of a existing session (wait until the password field fades) 2. Press the Escape key or other keys like control, space bar. Keys that aren't actually letters or numbers. Actual Results: Pressing Esc for example will show the password field but it will be grayed out and there will be no blinking cursor in which to write the password. Until the tab key or the mouse is used to select the password field. Expected Results: Pressing Escape will let you see the password field and pressing it again will hide again. Any other key should give focus to the password field not move/remove the blinking cursor.
on my system after logout from Wayland session: ESC and space bar: password field appears, it's not grayed out and it's not focused ctrl: password field appears and it's focused Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1
Same on Plasma 5.18.3 (KDE Neon 5.18, Frameworks 5.68.0, Qt 5.14.1, KWin). On the login screen, after pressing the ESC key, the password field loses the input focus and I cannot set the it back by pressing mouse button. After that I can set input focus to the password field only by pressing the TAB key. Lock screen works OK.
