Query fails to perform simple calculation. Also Criteria in the previous field shows additional (") mark annoyingly

It is frustrating to see how little is progressed in Kexi project since 2005 in contrast to MS Access in 2019. Kexi still doesn't have a dedicated calculated field in tables. One has to create a query to perform simple calculations like Addition or Multiplication.

Also the calculation criteria in query is extremely buggy. It creates confusion more so often. Just look at the attachment and you will see what I meant. Please help with some workaround.

Every time I open my query to try different method to perform a simple calculation: "FinalSalePrice = SalePrice + (SalePrice * TaxRate /100)". It shows "invalid criteria" and also additional (") sign is added to the previous field criteria.
