(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: 1.3.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 ) Severity: normal Installed from: Mandrake Linux 8.2 i586 - 8.2 Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake Linux 8.2 2.96-0.76mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.17 OS/Compiler notes: According to the FAQ for Courier-IMAP this is a client issue. Supposedly Courier-IMAP uses "INBOX." as the namespace for private folders. The IMAP NAMESPACE extension (see http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2342.txt) allows IMAP clients to automatically discover where the server creates folders and your IMAP client should implement it. I noticed that when I create a new folder it MUST be a subfolder of "INBOX". This is not acceptable. I also noticed this issue with the Mozilla IMAP mail client as well. Ximian Evolution however does format the folders correctly. Can this be addressed? (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)
