This is most likely an OS problem, have you tried any of the solutions in this link: https://docs.krita.org/en/contributors_manual/user_support.html#quick-solutions

Aside from that We can't do much as you provide no details at all, ie: operating system, krita version (latest is a changing number), etc. The title is non descriptive, suggesting you might confused this report system for a forum (better post your issue here https://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=139&sid=f26584ea0917872f33e3390af2c14daf)

so I've tried to change to windows ink in tablet setting and tried
reinstalling, but I'm still having pen pressure issues. I'm using a surface
pro 6 with krita 42.2

Without steps, or concrete conditions (like the surface 6 information), to reproduce an specific issue we can't classify this as a bug, but rather as a configuration problem on system/software/hardware.

As such, configuration problems are better discussed and taken care of in the forums (https://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=136) or the reddit user group (https://www.reddit.com/r/krita/)
