SUMMARY When reversing a clip, the [new] clip has a completely different range. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a project 2. Add a clip 3. Insert clip in timeline; set in/out points to a portion of the clip that is not symmetric about the middle of the clip. 4. Reverse the clip 5. Playback OBSERVED RESULT Playback plays the clip in reverse, but between two completely different frames than the in/out points established in step 3. EXPECTED RESULT Clip playback is reversed between selected frames (in/out points). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: appimage KDE Frameworks Version: appimage Qt Version: appimage ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It *appears* that the in/out points for the reversed clip are not being calculated correctly. I have not done the math to verify this, but what *seems* to be happening is: Clip has range of frames 0 to 99. Insert clip into timeline; set in point to frame 11 and out point to frame 25. Reverse clip. Reversed clip now has in point at frame 11 FROM THE END and out point at frame 25 FROM THE END. That is, the reversed clip plays from frame (99 - 11) through frame (99 - 25). In reverse, as expected.
As it has been a while since this was reported, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.12.2 https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/20.12/linux/
Setting to NEEDSINFO (see comment above)
