SUMMARY

Feature request:

It would be very nice to be able to copy the absolute path to the currently selected file/directory into clipboard.
I know this can be done using service menus and I'm aware of Bug 317877 , but the usefulness of that solution is limited in that:

1. As far as I know, the service menu action cannot be tied to a keyboard shortcut.
2. This way one can only copy the path to the currently selected path. However, I would like the shortcut to copy the path to the current directory in case no file is currently selected.

I also know that you can do Ctrl+L & Ctrl+C to copy the current path or use the menu key (if available) to go to the context menu, or open the built-in terminal and copy paths via xsel or the like, but all of these are sort of hacky, unwieldy solutions (eg. Ctrl+L moves focus to the adress bar).

Having a simple keyboard shortcut that would copy the path using just one shortcut would be very very useful to me, in particular while using a command line and dolphin simultaneously, but also while going from dolphin to the web browser and other applications...
