(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: khtml Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.0.5 (CVS HEAD >= 20020412)) Severity: normal Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-rc1 OS/Compiler notes: Hi! Open a html file e.g. QWidget docu. Click on some method -> view jumps down to show it. Click Back -> view jumps to top fine. Now scroll down to the bottom and then click Back again then forward. Now the view shows the function instead of the bottom of the file. Thanks Michael (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)
Still happens with CVS.
This might also be related to other scroll position problems. Go to webcvs.kde.org and click on say ... kdeextragear-1. Then click back. You're back at the top of the page ... very annoying.

In short the problem is that the back function will return to the exact http://oldside.org/oldpage.html#oldanchor instead of returning to where the user was viewing the page (which might be far away from the anchor/top.) Have a nice day!
Still happens with 3.2.2
fixed since a while
