SUMMARY In the ‘About’ dialogue, Krita claims to licensed under the GNU GPL version 3, but the actual license text is the GNU GPL version 2. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click ‘Help → About Krita → License’ 2. Read the first paragraph. 3. Scroll down. OBSERVED RESULT In step 2, the text says ‘Krita is released under the GNU General Public License (version 3 or any later version).’ However, in step 3, the license says ‘GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 2, June 1991’. EXPECTED RESULT The license versions should be consistent, either both GNU GPL version 3 or both GNU GPL version 2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Tested using Krita 4.2.1, but according to Git, the bug seems to be present in the current version of ‘master’.
