The effects were checked and updated with version 20.12.

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.12.2 https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/20.12/linux/

The issue is still in present in 20.12.3 (MLT 6.22.1 version). A 2 or 3 pixels black line appears even BEFORE rendering. Moreover, the effect makes really crappy when playing video (without cache) becoming this effect unusable.

I can't understan this way of managing bug reports. I told again that issue is still present in last Kdenlive version and it's easy to verify. I don't understand what more do you need to know if you can verify it. It seems a way to "hide" bugs that no one is tracking ... it's a pity. Kdenlive really liked me.
Comment 6 emohr 2021-04-04 13:15:21 UTC
The blur effect is since 20.12.0 marked as "deprecated" (exactly on this reason). Please use "Gaussian Blur" instead.
Comment 7 Rafael Linux User 2021-04-05 19:20:05 UTC
Ok. I tried it and that issue doesn't happen. However, performance using this filter is really slow.
