Description DC 2019-07-03 21:23:16 UTC
SUMMARY
This convertible laptop works with a built-in Wacom digitizer layer. The S-Pen and the Staedtler Pen will not draw on the canvas.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Running Krita
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Both pens work as a mouse in Krita and will draw on the tablet checker. When hovering over the screen the pens will move the brush around, but when I actually touch the screen with the pens it stops working and won't paint. Both pens work on other painting apps as normal. Tried Switching to the Window 8+ Pointer input and restarted Krita but it reverted back to the WinTab selection.

EXPECTED RESULT
Both pens should work as a painting tool.

Have you read the manual about tablet issues? look here https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/preferences/tablet_settings.html and look here https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/drawing_tablets.html#where-it-can-go-wrong-windows

Have you updated Windows lately? some updates have the tendency to break tablet drivers, and drivers would need to be reinstalled to work properly.

In Krita itself under Configure Krita > Tablet Settings you'll find a tablet tester. Draw into the input field that opens with your tablet pen, if the line appears blue (instead of red for mouse input) and you see the pressure values in the log (P=) scaling from 0 to 100%, communication with the tablet works correctly. If not, try switching the tablet input API setting there and restart Krita.

I installed 4.2.3 and the Wacom Feel driver and switched from Wintab to Windows 8+ (windows inkspace) I now am able to draw and have pen pressure.
