Description johnathan 2019-07-01 16:44:08 UTC
SUMMARY

whenever i delete any file from the phone via kdeconnect, i expect it to get deleted like i would expect if i used a MTP connection. instead, kdeconnect copies the file to be deleted to the trash of the system which takes an awful lot of time and is really pointless.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. connect via kdeconnect to a phone
2. click on "browse files and folders"
3. delete any file or folder

OBSERVED RESULT
it says waiting and in the meantime system is copying file from phone to trash which is completly unnecessary

EXPECTED RESULT
deletion of the file immediately

That is default behavior because dolphin/nautilus have no idea that the file-system it is working on is a remote filesystem. If you want to permanently delete a file use shift+delete
