Description Andrea Cavaliero 2019-06-25 14:23:01 UTC
Back in Kde 4.x it was possible to choose the size of the icons of the icon-only task manager. It would be great to have this option again, or having an option to reduce the padding.

Thanks,

Andrea

There's an icon size slider in the config for the applet. This is restricted by the max size setting for panel icons in System Settings. Let me know if you have any problems with those settings.

Hello,

sorry for the delay with my answer.

I only see the slider you mention when the panel is vertical. I don't see the slider when editing the settings of a horizontal panel.

Furthermore the behaviour of resizing seems to be a little buggy. This might be due for the size settings I chose but:
1) I see a huge resizing in icons, when resizing the (vertical) panel from 60px to 58px

2)There doesn't seem to be any difference between the size "Large" and the previous step (fyi. I set the max size for the panel icons to 128px to test this).

I'm not sure if I should open a different bug report for this, let me know.

Thank you,

Andrea

I can confirm this observation. Is this intentional? If so, why?

The slide ronly being visible while vertical is odd, yeah.

However when it;s visible, it seems to be totally broken; no setting has any effect for me.

This issue was confirmed and is definitely still an issue. Please don't put bugs in NEEDSINFO WAITINGFORINFO status just because they're old--especially not if they've been marked as confirmed by a developer. At least try to reproduce them yourself first.

The icon size setting has been removed (Task manager icons now always scale with the panel thickness, or a multiple of it when using a multi-row/column Task Manager), but the "icon spacing" setting that replaces it is now visible for both Panel orientations.
