SUMMARY
sometimes after a computer crash (power loss, kernel panic etc.) when I log in KDE will have forgotten various settings and shows me a desktop with the default configuration.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. cut power
2. log in 
3. repeat

OBSERVED RESULT
default settings

EXPECTED RESULT
my settings
