Description deltanedas 2019-06-24 03:04:09 UTC
SUMMARY
I had problems in pkcon with dolphin and spectacle conflicting over /usr/share/kglobalaccel/org.kde.dolphin.desktop after installing Neon 20190616 Unstable. I fixed it by reinstalling spectacle, after which i could not start it with keybinds. They are set. I could launch it through the application list and command, which was inconvenient but worked.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Uninstall Spectacle
2. Install it
3. Try prtsc, meta prtsc, etc.

OBSERVED RESULT
It doesn't launch.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux 4.18.0-22-generic amd64
KDE Neon 20190616 Unstable
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.60.0
Qt Version: 5.12.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Installed over Kubuntu 18.10 with seperate home partition.

Could you maybe try again with a newer build? There was an error where we tried to install the dolphin desktop file but that was corrected.
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2019-06-24 11:23:25 UTC
The issue with org.kde.dolphin.desktop was fixed already.

Do you have `/usr/share/khotkeys/spectacle.khotkeys` on your machine?

I installed 19.04.2+p18.04+git20190624.0216-0 from Discover and the problem persisted.

No, I don't.

I've just tested this on spectacle from KDE Neon User Edition and I can't reproduce the issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
