I downloaded again the dmg.
Now KStars opens but quits on running the simulator.

In order to see what is wrong, I will need either a KStars Log, or the terminal output if you run kstars from the command line.
Comment 3 Rob 2019-06-23 18:37:07 UTC
Nevermind, I just tried it on my wife's computer, I was able to reproduce the issue. It appears that the qt.conf file was accidentally deleted during the build process so KStars cannot find the qml directory. I changed the build script to fix another issue and it seemed that KStars built and ran just fine, but of course that was on my machine which is where it was built. I will correct it.

Please redownload kstars. I replaced the erroneous file. It should work much better now.

Beautiful it works ! Thank you, Rob.

No, it still doesn't work properly : it worked on my iMac and not on my MacBook Pro.
Both running High Sierra
Comment 8 Jean-Claude 2019-06-23 19:43:35 UTC
And now it works on my laptop after a restart !
I don't know what to think.
We will see if others have this problem.
Comment 9 Rob 2019-06-23 23:31:44 UTC
If this is the same computer where it crashed before, most likely it was something still running after the crash. If not, then I am not sure.
