Description jphileston 2019-06-20 04:11:23 UTC
SUMMARY
my pressure works as normal in all other drawing applications and i have tried many times to remove and reinstall old and new updates on both krita and my own tablet before giving up and using a different program. i still really want to go back to krita though, since i really like it.
i've basically tried uninstalling current updates, reinstalling old ones and vice versa with both krita and my tablet itself, changing my usb port, resetting my tablet to factory settings (or something like that) but all to no avail. going into tablet settings in the 'configure krita' menu also does nothing. i change the slope, test the pressure - nothing changes. i also see nowhere to apply my settings cause i guess my window is cut off?
what can be done to fix this, if anything else?
i've had this problem for.. a month now? i should add i stopped using it for a majority of said month, but still. im not the only one with this problem right?
let me know if more info is needed, but i so badly want this fixed cause i miss using krita :c
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. uh...draw
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
pen pressure not working

EXPECTED RESULT
pen pressure..working? like lines getting bigger and smaller with changing pressure applied to tablet? uh idk what im supposed to say or if this needs describing really.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows 10
Wacom Intuos tablet, model is CTL-4100
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- i started having this problem on 5/29/19
-i have currently installed the most recent krita update, and my current driver update is 6.3.34-3
-i /know/ it's just krita with this problem as i've tested it in other programs such as firealpaca, and trial versions of paint tool and clip studio paint. my pen pressure works normally everywhere except krita.

To clarify - did you also try to switch the tablet API in the Tablet Settings and restarting Krita afterwards?

And you say the window gets cut off - does confirming the settings with Alt+O (the letter O) work?

Also try disabling hi-dpi support under General > Window.

Please try also to reset the wacom tablet settings. Wintab tablets store per-application information in the settings, and wacom's settings often break. which also explains why one application can be broken while others work.

I keep a known good backup file in readiness for the about once a month I need to reset and restore settings to make my Mobile Studio Pro work again.
