Description mihael.vercek 2019-06-19 09:13:54 UTC
SUMMARY
When I use Meta+Arrow up shortcut for window maximization with Active Window Control with "hide titlebar for maximized windows" checked I loose focus on that window and I can not interact with it with mouse clicks. I have to use Alt+Tab to bring it back.

This does not happen if I use Maximize button for window maximization or if I do not have that option checked. Bug only happens in this constellation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have Active Window Control widget installed
2. Have "hide titlebar for maximized windows" option checked in Active Window Control settings.
3. Use Meta + Arrow up to maximize window

OBSERVED RESULT
Cannot interact with mouse with program anymore. Have to use Alt + Tab to have it back in focus.

EXPECTED RESULT
Window maximized, can continue with interaction with program.

Using KDE Neon with latest Plasma (5.16)

Using it a bit more I couldn't figure out under which circumstances it occurs. Previous comment in this regard is thus wrong.

I have 3 widgets of Active Window Control so I can get all buttons in vertical panel, other than that the issue *often* occurs when maximizing windows but not always.

I encounter the same issue as mihael after setting BorderlessMaximizedWindows=true in kwinrc. Maximizing a window results in that window not receiving mouse input (keyboard works fine) until the cursor hovers another window.

Using kwin 5.20 under Arch.
