STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select color in main color selector
2. edit color using scales below color selector

OBSERVED RESULT
preview shows black and color cannot be used

EXPECTED RESULT
preview shows wanted color and can be used

I took the reports from the past few sessions, since this problem started when I was on 4.2.0. I then uninstalled 4.2.0 and installed 4.2.1 to see if the problem would be fixed and found it was not. Today I tried opening other projects and making a new project, this project seems to be the only one having this problem.

The only thing that changed within the 4 days of working on this file was that I exported it the night before as a png

This is not a support forum, this second issue has nothing to do with the first report. you can reopen this bug report if the "Colorpicker preview shows black preview" happens again and you have a file that causes the glitch.

The file you attached have an active selection on the file (probably a pixel size selection or an offcanvas selection). Just deselect all and you will be able to paint again.
