SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open okular 2. open any pdf 3. press F6 or open annotations OBSERVED RESULT The typewriter not listed in annotations and if we try to add using Setting>configure okular...>annotations>add. In The Terminal we see:- Illegal icon group: 7 QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified EXPECTED RESULT The Typewriter tool must be there or we can add through configure okular. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: 5.12.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Works for me with your Steps to Reproduce and that version of Okular. I can use the configuration dialog to add a Typewriter annotation when it's not already visible in the default list.
Iām trying with the latest poppler and let me add a comment if it works.
Can you please add a screenshot of what you get with the popup open? (you may need to set a delay for capturing screen in spectacle) There's really no reason for typewriter not to be there. This is what i get https://i.imgur.com/LNviDYw.png
