Does this happen with a wallpaper that's exactly 1920x1080? Can you include the sizes of the one where this is happening.

Can I see the output of "env" please.

then reset the bug status to reported

Comment 5 Suson Thapa 2019-06-14 02:27:19 UTC
Yeah, my display resolution is 1920x1080, I am using "Picture of the day" so the resolution of wallpaper may change, but it only happens when the provider is "Picture of the day" and Positioning is "Scaled and Cropped". When the provider is image, the "thin line" is visible in the preview but it doesn't appear on the actual display

Thanks for the info.
Comment 14 Suson Thapa 2020-12-08 23:52:32 UTC
I can't reproduce the issue with the `Picture of the Day` provider. But the preview issues still persists in plasma 5.20. I have attached a video showing the issue and also a screenshot of it.

Looks like it is showing the red color as a placeholder for image and then showing the actual image (once it's loaded) over it. I think that it might be due to scaling of the image in which the final width and height computed may be slightly less than the container's width and height (may be due to casting to int from float or something).

Here is a video https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=133940 showing the issue. If it's unclear from the video here is the image https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=133941.

Also a totally unrelated issue, the wallpaper window doesn't go full screen, there is a small gap in the bottom shown here https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=133942.

Sorry for directly posting links I forgot how to attach it nicely. By the way good work with the blog Nate. Really appreciated that.

No more reports in years. Suson, is this still happening for you in Plasma 5.27 or newer?
