SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Deleted the copy of PDF
2. Uninstalled Okular
3. Reinstalled Okular and redownloaded the PDF
4. Checked other PDF viewers (Chrome, Adobe Reader) and am able to view the 
full PDF

OBSERVED RESULT
The PDF is a book to study for a test. It starts midway through chapter 2

EXPECTED RESULT
The expected result is the ability to view the full book

I don't see an option that says PDF file, so I switched it to PDF backend

What Albert means is that it is not possible to investigate this problem without the problematic pdf file.  Can you please attach the file you are having trouble with to this bug report?  (But note that this is a public bug tracker: do not attach confidential files here)

Sorry, I didn't understand the request at first. Page 55 is the first one that I can go to on this PDF with the Okular PDF reader. Please let me know if I need to add anymore information.

Confirmed with the Okular from git master. Atril shows the complete book, so not clear whether this can be blamed on poppler.

Oliver of course it's poppler, we don't do any PDF handling.

For me the bug shows different (okular + poppler master): I can see the whole book , both scrolling and navigating with TOC works. But Okular lets me even scroll beyond the end. I.e., the last page is the EULA page, shown as Page 315 of 435 in Okulars Page Bar. But then I can scroll further from 316 to 435, where each page is shown as solid black.
