SUMMARY It.s simple. Samba Shares in Windows without password should work in KDE out of the box. But they require a password to work. The default Windows password if you disable password (sound confusing ) its: User : nobody Password : nobody STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a share in Windows 10 2. Disable password in network and sharing center. (optional, activate public sharing) You can test it from another windows machine or VLC android 3. Try to browse it from KDE. it will ask you for an username and password. So you're saying that if you create a passwordless Samba share on Windows, connect to it using Dolphin, and enter nobody/nobody as the username and password when prompted, it will connect?
