In many cases you only want to fit a subset of data in a plot. For example you have measurement values from x= 10 - 100 but you only want to fit the values from x= 30 - 80. This can b done by other programs like MagicPlot or Origin but not with LP.
This feature is important because there are plenty of cases where you have e.g. 2 linear effects. So you have to fit in 2 data ranges.

Attached is a screenshot I made with MagicPlot to illustrate what I mean.

You can set the fit range in the advanced fit options. The button can be found on the right side in the fit options section.

Now I found it after a hard search. Maybe the button can be made a bit larger and I propose to label it "Advanced". I mean the Recalculate button has also an icon AND a label so that you know immediately what the button is about.

Therefore I reopened the bug as enhancement.

Great idea. The button now has the text "Advanced".
