I think having live seconds visible all the time in the clock is distracting, so I disable it, but sometimes I want to check the seconds. Maybe show them when hovering the clock at least. In Windows clicking the clock would display the calendar plus the time with seconds. Operating System: KDE neon 5.15 KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 Kernel Version: 4.18.0-21-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz Memory: 15,6 GiB of RAM
Hey, that's not a bad idea.
For clicking there already seems to be a report, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399712 Do you think that would be working or do you prefer having seconds displayed when hovering?
I don't have strong feelings on the matter. :)
If hovering would still allow the time (with seconds) to be updated live then that'd be ok.
The question was rather whether you would be ok with only having seconds shown in the calendar applet or whether you'd prefer to (also) have them in the tooltip when hovering.
If clicking the clock would display the full time, then I think the hover wouldn't be necessary, and might look messy when it triggers by accident.
Got it. If nobody else objects, I would close this as duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399712 then.

In Plasma 5.27, it will!
