And what version of kglobalaccel do you have installed?

This looks very similar to bug#406426, that was a regression in 5.57 though and KUbuntu 19.04 ships with 5.56 AFAICS.

It must be that bug then, since I am using 5.57 from Kubuntu backports. I will try to figure out how to force the regular version

FTR, it seems that Kubuntu Backports have been updated to KF 5.58.0 recently, where the crash should be fixed.
