SUMMARY

Plasma creates a .kde4 directory in the home with color settings, should'nt this be in ~/.local/share or ~/.config according to the specification? Rather minor, but i think it is an unnecessary pollution of the home directory, and the name "kde4" leads me to believe that this is rather old code.

Those settings are there so that KDE4 apps can read them, which won't happen if you move them
