I have tested with the latest nightly build on KFind (v27.07.70) and I cannot reproduce this issue. My hidden files (.dotfiles) were excluded by the search. My hidden folders (.dotfolders) were also excluded by the search. This issue seems to be resolved as far as a typical Linux filesystem is concerned. If it's still broken for you could you please provide a step by step guide to reproduce the bug? If you could also upload some screenshots of the KFind tabs: "Name/Location", "Contents", "Properties" it might help to determine if the problem lies in your settings configuration there. IMPORTANT CAVEAT: KFind actually fails to recognise and filter out any hidden files created/marked by a Windows OS on an NTFS/FAT32 partition (such as the "System Volume Information" hidden folder). This should be a separate bug report though.
