SUMMARY KDE Connect won't synchronise clipboard between PC (Manjaro Stable) and smartphone (Android 8.0) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. connect android and linux to the same wifi router 2. ensure both devices are connected (i.e. battery optimisation settings in Android for KDE Connect, plus live monitoring if still connected via pinned KDE Panel widget) 3. select and copy a text on one device 4. attempt to paste a text on another device OBSERVED RESULT Pasted text is the one that is originally stored in clipboard of the device I'm trying to paste the text into (last copied/cut text), regardless of which of those two devices (same behaviour on PC and on Android). EXPECTED RESULT After new content of clipboard was synchronised, pasted text into one device is the one that was copied into clipboard of the other device, SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: N/A macOS: N/A Android version: 8.0 (Huawei ATU-L11 8.0.0.149 (C782) Android kernel version: 3.18.66-g6a76c56 Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro Stable (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0 Qt Version: 5.12.3 Kernel version: 5.0.15-1-MANJARO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I made sure that both devices are connected via KDE Connect and monitored this via pinned widget on KDE panel (shows my Android device on the list of available devices). Normal copy-pasting from PC to smartphone doesn't work - as described above. However, copy-pasting text on smartphone FIRST (with or without pasting it in PC) makes clipboard synchronise, so an attempt to copy-paste a text between devices made straight after, will copy-paste a text from PC to smartphone.
bump. I still experience the problem. version used in Manjaro: 1.3.4-1 version on Android: 1.12.9
Same problem here with openSUSE Tumbleweed (kdeconnect-kde 1.3.5) and Android 9 (1.13.1, Beta-Channel)
bump. Manjaro 18.1 and Android 10 (1.13)

if you have root and magisk installed you can fix that. see: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/d0esn4/kdeconnect_clipboard_sharing_not_working_with/f7qkxf3?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
@ kde.sebacate@simplelogin.co "if you have root and magisk installed you can fix that. [...]". I don't have neither rooted phone, nor magisk installed, nor I can program. Also, I thought the point of reporting bugs is that a piece of software would get repaired for everyone, not just 1 user.

Currently, this is the only way to use the android clipboard for linux on a10. Of course it's not something everyone will do or an immediate fix, but it's what you can do now. If you don't think this is ideal, then don't use, don't root, or rather, create a patch yourself to fix it.
I can copy text from the PC to the Android, but not the other way around - bug 445658.
