SUMMARY Suspend without confirmation after suspend inhibition is over. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run an application that inhibits suspend operations, for example Fedora's "dnf update". 2. Select "Suspend to RAM" from the Plasma launcher menu. 3. Instead of seeing the computer go to sleep mode, I get a confirmation dialog "Authentication required to suspend while an app inhibits it." 4. Wait until the inhibiting application ends (e.g. when "dnf update" has done with updates and exits.) OBSERVED RESULT The confirmation dialog is still on screen, even though there is no confirmation needed to suspend. The computer is not suspended. EXPECTED RESULT The computer should suspend and the dialog be closed immediately after inhibition is lifted. May be there should also be a way to cancel such a pending suspend operation. Alexander, is this still happening in Plasma 6.3.0 or later?
Tried to re-test in Plasma 6.3.2. Suspend to RAM happens immediately despite inhibiting - possibly a different bug, so can't re-test the original issue scenario. Steps to reproduce: * systemd-inhibit --what=shutdown:sleep:idle --who="test1" --why="test2" sleep 60 * K-menu -> Sleep. Suspend to RAM happens immediately, no confirmation dialog.
That sounds like a different issue; feel free to open a new bug report about it. Thanks for re-testing! I can't reproduce the original issue, so let's call it fixed for new until we get another report of it.
