Description allanrpsx 2019-05-21 07:29:12 UTC
SUMMARY
Digikam fails to write to internal storage or access external storage from inside chroot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Mount storage within chroot directory with rw permissions
2. Enter chroot
3. Verify storage is writable by other utilities
4. Try to copy file from one album in internal storage to another in internal storage.
5. Try to add external storage mountpoint to collection as a directory or as removable drive.

OBSERVED RESULT
After attempting any write operation a notification appears saying "Could not copy..." After attempting to add external storage a message box appears saying it could not be added.

EXPECTED RESULT
Successful reading and writing to storage which is mounted with proper permissions.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: N/A
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58
Qt Version: 5.12

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This system is running on an android device with an armv8 chip. The internal storage is an sdcardfs file system while the external storage is an NTFS sdcard. All other programs I have tested have been able to read and write from both of these devices without issue. The stderr offered no insight.
